Blake Scott Ball
Blake Scott Ball is an American historian specializing in twentieth-century U.S. political and cultural history. He is an associate professor of history and has written extensively on the intersection of popular culture and American politics. Ball is best known for his book Charlie Brown’s America: The Popular Politics of Peanuts (Oxford University Press, 2021), which explores how Charles Schulz’s iconic comic strip reflected and shaped debates over race, war, gender, and national identity during the Cold War era.
